I have extensive experience working for pre-eminent organizations such Exxon Chemical, Esso Chemical, Bahwan Group, Sonatrach, Hub Power Company (“HUBO”), Engro Chemical and Fauji Fertilizers. Most recently, I have served as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on CPEC. I also have rich experience in dealing with leading Chinese firms, including EPC contractors, JV partners and financial institutions.

Before this, I was the CEO at HUBO for 7 years, where I transformed the company and led several growth initiatives. I have also held the position of CEO of Algeria Oman Fertilizer Company where I was responsible for setting up the world’s largest Fertilizer Complex.

I have strong expertise in project development, execution and operations including some of the biggest private sector investment in Pakistan’s history such as, Engro’s USD 1.1 billion Enven and HUBCO’s USD 3 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (“CPEC”) projects of China Power Hub Generation Company (“CPHGC”), Thar Energy and ThalNova.

I have also served as the Director or the Chairman on the boards of HUBCO, Engro, including its subsidiaries, Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company, CPHGC, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited 9”SNGPL”), Unilever Pakistan Foods , National Bank of Pakistan Fund, and currently providing independent advice to Jazz Pakistan, the biggest telecommunication company in Pakistan.

I was also the President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) for the term 2017 and held this position until February 2018.
